A symposium on Breast Cancer Awareness
10 Nov 2022The Faculty Development, Awareness and Training Committee – Quality Assurance Unit – Faculty of Pharmacy, Misr International University, was honored to hold a symposium on Breast Cancer Awareness, how to prevent, methods of diagnosis and early detection of the disease. Participants also heard the success stories from women who have gone through that experience and recovered.
This seminar was held in cooperation with “Baheya Foundation” for early detection and treatment of breast cancer and the National Cancer Institute (NIC). It was held on this day as October is the international month for breast cancer awareness, one of the most common types of cancer that affects women in Egypt.
Lectures were given by:
Dr. Emad Shash, Medical Director of the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Center, Cancer Institute, Cairo University
Dr. Gilan Ahmed, CEO of Baheya Foundation
Dr. Nouf Obeid, breast surgery specialist at Baheya Hospital
