Successful Dental Health Awareness Among Cancer Patients

On Saturday 26^th November 2016, Community Dental Care (CDC) students’ club conducted an awareness visit to the National Cancer Institute (First Settlement Branch). A total of 150 chemotherapeutic patients, as well as patients submitted for operations participated in this event. The awareness included instructions about oral hygiene, effects of chemotherapy on oral health and oral and dental health precautions during this period of therapy.  Dental health educational posters were distributed across different departments.  The patients showed eagerness to receive the services provided by the MIU Dental Clinics Complex.
