Faculty of Pharmacy celebrates Class of 2026 with White Coat Ceremony and Torch Passing Tradition

The Faculty of Pharmacy at MIU celebrated its annual White Coat Ceremony for the Class of 2026 on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in the presence of the students’ families, faculty members, and a distinguished group of guests. Since its introduction at MIU in 2022, the White Coat Ceremony has become a cherished tradition that marks students’ entry into their final year of study and celebrates their transition toward professional pharmacy practice.

Organized by the Faculty’s Media and Events Coordination Committee, along with 40 senior students, the celebration began with the traditional parade of senior students and followed by the Dean of the Faculty welcome speech.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Former Governor of Sharqia Province and President of 6 October University, Prof. Dr. Maher El-Domiaty, Former Governor of Beni Suef Province and Member of the Supreme Committee for the University Education Sector Committee, Dr. Wael Hafez, Chairman and CEO of Globe International Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Ahmed Fathy, Member of the Egyptian Parliament and Managing Director of the Youth Leaders Foundation, Dr. Ahmed Hossam, Program Director at the Youth Leaders Foundation, Dr. Magdy Matter, CEO of Melano Pharma, Dr. Jaylan Ahmed, Member of the Egyptian Parliament and Former CEO of Baheya, Dr. Mohamed Abd Elrazek, Professor of General Surgery and Oncology Surgery and Medical Director of Ain Shams Specialized Hospital, Dr. Islam Anan, CEO of Accsight Research, Dr. Mohamed Amer, Director of the Central Chamber for the Management of Professional Practice Examinations for Medical Specialties at the Egyptian Health Council, Dr. Engy Saleh, Quality Assurance Manager at Genuine Research Center and Prof. Dr. Azza Elshafey, Professor of Pharmacognosy.

This year’s ceremony also introduced a new tradition symbolizing continuity and leadership. Representatives of the Class of 2025 officially passed the Torch of Pharmacy, a symbolic trophy representing knowledge, responsibility, and the enduring legacy of the profession, to the representatives of the Class of 2026, marking the beginning of a tradition that will continue in the years ahead.

The highlight of the celebration was the robing ceremony, during which each student proudly put on the white coat with the support of the Dean, vice deans, department heads, and faculty members. The white coats were generously sponsored by Globe International Pharmaceuticals.

The Faculty of Pharmacy extends its sincere congratulations to the newly cloaked students and wishes them continued success as they embark on the next stage of their academic and professional journey, carrying forward the values, ethics, and responsibilities of the pharmacy profession.

كلية الصيدلة تحتفي بدفعة 2026 في حفل المعطف الأبيض وإطلاق تقليد جديد لتسليم شعلة الصيدلة

احتفلت كلية الصيدلة بالجامعة بحفل المعطف الأبيض السنوي لدفعة 2026 والذي أُقيم يوم الخميس الموافق 14 مايو 2026 بحضور أولياء أمور الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس ونخبة من الشخصيات العامة والضيوف المرموقين. ومنذ إطلاق هذا التقليد في الجامعة عام 2022 أصبح حفل المعطف الأبيض مناسبة سنوية مميزة تُجسّد انتقال الطلاب إلى عامهم الدراسي الأخير وتمثل بداية رحلتهم نحو ممارسة مهنة الصيدلة بكل ما تحمله من مسؤولية ورسالة إنسانية.
وقد نظمت لجنة الإعلام وتنسيق الفاعليات بمساعدة 40 طالب من السنة النهائية بكلية الصيدلة فعاليات الحفل التي استُهلت بالمسيرة التقليدية لطلاب السنة النهائية وخطاب عميد الكلية للترحيب بالحضور.
وشرف الحفل بالحضور كل من الأستاذ الدكتور ممدوح غراب، محافظ الشرقية الأسبق ورئيس جامعة 6 أكتوبر والأستاذ الدكتور ماهر الدمياطي، محافظ بني سويف الأسبق وعضو اللجنة العليا لقطاع التعليم الجامعي والدكتور وائل حافظ، رئيس مجلس الإدارة والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة جلوب إنترناشيونال للأدوية والأستاذ أحمد فتحي، عضو مجلس النواب والعضو المنتدب لمؤسسة قادة والدكتور أحمد حسام، مدير البرامج بمؤسسة قادة والدكتور مجدي مطر، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة ميلانو فارما والدكتورة جيلان أحمد، عضو مجلس النواب والرئيس التنفيذي السابق لمؤسسة بهية والدكتور محمد عبد الرازق، أستاذ الجراحة العامة وجراحة الأورام والمدير الطبي لمستشفى عين شمس التخصصي والدكتور إسلام عنان، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة Accsight Research والدكتور محمد عامر، مدير الغرفة المركزية لإدارة امتحانات مزاولة المهنة للتخصصات الطبية بالمجلس الصحي المصري والدكتورة إنجي صالح، مدير ضمان الجودة بمركز Genuine Research Center والأستاذة الدكتورة عزة الشافعي، أستاذة العقاقير.
وشهد الحفل هذا العام إطلاق تقليد جديد يجسد روح الاستمرارية والقيادة حيث قام ممثلو دفعة 2025 بتسليم شعلة الصيدلة وهي مجسم رمزي يجسد المعرفة والمسؤولية والإرث العريق للمهنة إلى ممثلي دفعة 2026 إيذانًا ببدء تقليد سنوي جديد يستمر خلال الأعوام المقبلة.
وتوّجت الفعالية بمراسم ارتداء المعطف الأبيض حيث ارتدى كل طالب معطفه الأبيض بمشاركة عميد الكلية ووكلائها ورؤساء الأقسام وأعضاء هيئة التدريس. وقد جاءت المعاطف البيضاء برعاية شركة جلوب إنترناشيونال للأدوية.
وفي ختام الحفل تتقدم كلية الصيدلة بخالص التهنئة لطلابها الذين ارتدوا المعطف الأبيض متمنيةً لهم دوام النجاح والتوفيق في مسيرتهم الأكاديمية والمهنية وأن يظلوا خير سفراء للمهنة ملتزمين بقيمها وأخلاقياتها ورسالتها السامية في خدمة المجتمع.
