The Hacker’s New Brain: AI in Cybersecurity

The Faculty of Computer Science at Misr International University organized an insightful EG-CERT talk titled “The Hacker’s New Brain: AI in Cybersecurity” on Wednesday, 06/05/2026. The event brought together students passionate about artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.

The session aimed to raise awareness of the growing impact of AI on the digital security landscape while providing students with a deeper understanding of how modern technologies are reshaping the future of cyber defense. It also created an interactive learning environment where participants explored current cybersecurity challenges, recent technological advancements, and the increasing importance of AI-driven solutions in protecting digital systems and sensitive information.

The talk was delivered by Mohamed Salah, who shared valuable industry knowledge and practical insights into the integration of artificial intelligence within cybersecurity operations. During the session, he explained how AI is being used to enhance threat detection, automate security processes, analyze large volumes of data, and improve the speed and accuracy of identifying cyber threats.

In addition, the speaker highlighted the darker side of AI by demonstrating how cybercriminals can exploit advanced technologies to launch more sophisticated attacks, develop intelligent malware, and bypass traditional security systems. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning and technical development, encouraging students to strengthen their skills in cybersecurity and AI to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving technology sector and contribute to building safer digital environments.

عقل المخترق الجديد: الذكاء الاصطناعي في الأمن السيبراني

نظّمت كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بـجامعة مصر الدولية ندوة مميزة ضمن فعاليات EG-CERT بعنوان “The Hacker’s New Brain: AI in Cybersecurity” وذلك يوم الأربعاء الموافق 06/05/2026، بحضور عدد كبير من الطلاب المهتمين بمجالات الذكاء الاصطناعي والأمن السيبراني والتقنيات الحديثة. هدفت الندوة إلى تسليط الضوء على التأثير المتزايد للذكاء الاصطناعي في مجال الأمن الرقمي، وتعريف الطلاب بأحدث التطورات التكنولوجية التي أصبحت تُعيد تشكيل مستقبل الحماية الإلكترونية. كما وفّرت الندوة بيئة تفاعلية أتاحت للطلاب فرصة التعرف على التحديات السيبرانية الحديثة، ودور التقنيات الذكية في تعزيز أمن المعلومات وحماية الأنظمة الرقمية من التهديدات المتطورة.

وقد قدّم الندوة المهندس محمد صلاح، حيث استعرض خبراته العملية ورؤيته حول كيفية توظيف تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي في تطوير أنظمة الأمن السيبراني. وتناول خلال حديثه دور الذكاء الاصطناعي في تحسين اكتشاف التهديدات الإلكترونية، وأتمتة العمليات الأمنية، وتحليل كميات ضخمة من البيانات بسرعة ودقة عالية، مما يساهم في رفع كفاءة أنظمة الحماية الرقمية. كما ناقش الجانب السلبي لاستخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي، موضحًا كيف يمكن للمهاجمين الإلكترونيين استغلال هذه التقنيات لتطوير هجمات أكثر تعقيدًا وابتكار وسائل اختراق متقدمة تتجاوز أساليب الحماية التقليدية. وفي ختام الندوة، أكد على أهمية التطوير المستمر للمهارات التقنية لدى الطلاب، وتشجيعهم على مواكبة التطورات السريعة في مجالي الذكاء الاصطناعي والأمن السيبراني للمساهمة في بناء بيئة رقمية أكثر أمانًا.
