Histopathology Scientific Day

On Thursday the 12^th of February 2026, The Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Misr International University (MIU), represented by the Histopathology Department, organized a one-day scientific meeting entitled “From Slide to Chairside” in collaboration with the Pathology Department, Faculty of Dentistry at Alexandria University. The event aimed to promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise in the field of histopathology and to bridge the gap between academic research and clinical practice.

The program included lectures highlighting the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and the uses of bioinformatics in the field of histopathology.

The event was attended by faculty members from governmental and private dental schools, as well as dental students from our faculty.

As part of the scientific day, a student research competition was held. Additionally, an awareness booth on Hepatitis B and C was organized by the Infection Control Unit and the CDC (Community Dental Care Club).

اليوم العلمي لقسم الهيستوباثولوچيا بكلية طب الفم والأسنان

قام قسم الهيستوباثولوچيا بكلية طب الفم والأسنان بتنظيم يوم علمي يوم الخميس 12 فبراير 2026 بالاشتراك مع كلية طب الأسنان جامعة الإسكندرية وحضور أساتذة التخصص من الجامعات الحكومية والخاصة وعدد من طلبة الكلية تحت عنوان: From slide to chair side Bridging Histopathology and Clinical practice.

وقد تضمن البرنامج العلمي مجموعة من المحاضرات حول تطبيقات المعلوماتية الحيوية (Bioinformatics) والتطبيقات الرقمية متضمنة استخدامات الذكاء الاصطناعي في مجال باثولوجيا الفم.

وقد أقيم على هامش اليوم العلمي مسابقة لأبحاث الطلاب وكذلك أنشطة نادي طلابي في مجال مكافحة العدوى.
