A visit to El-Wafaa and El-Amal Association

The Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine conducted a field visit to El-Wafaa w El-Amal Association in Heliopolis on Sunday, January 11, 2026. The association provides care and support services for visually impaired women.

The visit was attended by the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, along with the coordinator and members of the Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee, a supervisor from the Internship Training Administration, a representative from the Dental Clinic Complex administration accompanied by two nurses, and fifteen male and female interns.

The primary purpose of the visit was to conduct oral examinations for the residents in preparation for hosting them at the faculty. Oral examinations were carried out for 23 residents and 3 caregivers at the association. The interns also delivered educational awareness sessions highlighting the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and demonstrating proper toothbrushing techniques. Participants were encouraged to seek further dental treatment at the university’s Dental Clinic Complex.

The visit was conducted in collaboration with the World Dental Federation (FDI), which provided giveaway items sponsored by Signal and Sensodyne.

As part of the initiative, 150 toothbrush and toothpaste sets were distributed to the residents and their caregivers during the awareness sessions.

Moreover, surveys were distributed to the association’s staff to assess oral health needs, evaluate the effectiveness of the program, and measure overall satisfaction. The results indicated a 100% satisfaction rate. Similarly, evaluation forms completed by the interns also reflected complete satisfaction.

فعاليات الزيارة الميدانية الي جمعية الوفاء والأمل

قامت لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بكلية طب الفم والأسنان بتنظيم زيارة ميدانية إلى جمعية الوفاء والأمل بمنطقة مصر الجديدة يوم الأحد الموافق 11 يناير 2026. وتقدم الجمعية خدمات الرعاية والدعم للسيدات من ذوي الإعاقة البصرية.

شارك في الزيارة كل من الاستاذ الدكتور وكيل الكلية لشؤون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، ومنسق لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، بالإضافة إلى مشرف من إدارة تدريب أطباء الامتياز، وممثل عن إدارة مجمع العيادات وعدد 2 من فريق التمريض بالعيادات، وخمسة عشر طبيب وطبيبة من أطباء الامتياز.

هدفت الزيارة بشكل أساسي إلى تقديم خدمة الكشف على الفم والاسنان تمهيدا لاستقدامهم لتلقى العلاج بمجمع عيادات الكلية. حيث تم إجراء فحوصات فموية لـ 23 من نزيلات الجمعية و3 من القائمين على رعايتهن. كما قام المتدربون بتنفيذ جلسات توعوية ركزت على أهمية الحفاظ على نظافة الفم والأسنان وشرح الطريقة الصحيحة لتفريش الأسنان. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم توجيه الدعوة للمشاركات لتلقي العلاج اللازم بمجمع عيادات الأسنان بالجامعة.

تمت الزيارة بالتعاون مع الاتحاد العالمي لطب الفم والاسنان والذي قام بتقديم لافتات ومنشورات التوعية وكذلك عبوات معجون الاسنان والفرشاة بواسطة كل من شركة سيجنال وشركة سنسوداين.

وفي إطار المبادرة، تم توزيع 150 فرشاة أسنان ومعجون أسنان على النزيلات والمشرفات خلال جلسات التوعية.

كما تم توزيع استبيانات على العاملين بالجمعية للتعرف على احتياجات صحة الفم والأسنان، وتقييم فاعلية الزيارة، وقياس مستوى الرضا العام. وأظهرت النتائج نسبة رضا بلغت 100%. كما أظهر استبيان التقييم الذي استكمله المتدربون نفس نسبة الرضا الكاملة.
