A visit to Dar El-Diyafa

The Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine conducted a field visit to Dar Al-Diyafa Association in Heliopolis on Monday, December 8, 2025. The association is dedicated to caring for girls who lack family support for various reasons, including the loss of one or both parents, homelessness, unknown parentage, or challenging circumstances such as poverty, chronic illness, or the absence of capable caregivers due to physical or mental incapacity.

The visit was attended by the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Coordinator of Community Services and Environmental Affairs, two supervisors from the Internship Training Department, one staff member from the Restorative Dentistry Department, and fifteen female interns.

The purpose of the visit was to raise awareness among the residents, staff, and caregivers at the association regarding oral and dental health. Awareness sessions were delivered by the interns, highlighting the importance of oral hygiene and demonstrating proper toothbrushing techniques.

In addition, the university provided essential food supplies, and the interns distributed 70 toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste to the residents during the awareness session, which was conducted in collaboration with the World Dental Federation (FDI).

Surveys were distributed among the staff and caregivers at Dar Al-Diyafa to assess their oral health needs, evaluate the program provided, and measure their level of satisfaction with the visit. The satisfaction rate reached 100%. A separate survey was also distributed among the interns and participants to evaluate the visit, which similarly achieved a 100% satisfaction rate.

فعاليات الزيارة الميدانية الي دار الضيافة بمصر الجديدة

قامت لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بكلية طب الفم والأسنان بزيارة ميدانية إلى جمعية دار الضيافة بمصر الجديدة يوم الاثنين الموافق 8 ديسمبر 2025. وتُعنى هذه الجمعية برعاية الفتيات اللاتي لا يتوفر لهن وجود أسري لأسباب مختلفة مثل فقدان أحد الوالدين أو كليهما، التشرد، مجهولى النسب او بسبب الظروف القاسية مثل الفقر او الامراض المستعصية او غياب الاهل القادرين على الرعاية لأسباب العجز الصحى او العقلى وغيرها.

وشارك في الزيارة كلٌّ من وكيل الكلية لشؤون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة ومجموعة من السادة الأعضاء باللجنة، ومنسق خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، ومشرفَين من ادارة تدريب الامتياز، وعضو هيئة تدريس من قسم طب الأسنان التحفظي، بالإضافة إلى خمس عشرة طبيبة امتياز.

وهدفت الزيارة إلى رفع مستوى الوعي لدى المقيمات والعاملات ومقدمي الرعاية بالجمعية فيما يتعلق بصحة الفم والأسنان. وقدمت طبيبات الامتياز جلسات توعوية لشرح أهمية العناية بصحة الفم والطريقة الصحيحة لتنظيف الأسنان.

وقد الجامعة بشراء المواد الغذائية المطلوبة للدار وقامت طبيبات الامتياز بتوزيعهم بالإضافة لعدد 70 فرشاة ومعجون أسنان على الفتيات نزيلات الدار، و ذلك بالتعاون مع الاتحاد العالمى لطب الاسنان (FDI).

وتم توزيع استبيانات على العاملات ومقدمي الرعاية في دار الضيافة لتقييم احتياجاتهم المتعلقة بصحة الفم، وتقييم البرنامج المقدم، وقياس مدى رضاهم عن الزيارة، وقد بلغ معدل الرضا 100% كما تم توزيع استبيان آخر على طبيبات الامتياز المشاركات لتقييم الزيارة، وحقق أيضًا معدل رضا بنسبة 100%..
