Pharmacy Students Lead TB Awareness Campaign “Together We Can End TB”

In recognition of World Tuberculosis (TB) Day, on April 29, the Faculty of Pharmacy launched an awareness campaign titled “Together We Can End TB”. This initiative aimed to educate the university community about TB, its transmission and prevention strategies.

Guided by the Community Service Committee and the Department of Microbiology, pharmacy students took the lead by creating informative posters and engaging in discussions with fellow students and staff. To prepare for the event, a session led by Dr. Wafaa El-Tayeb on April 22 equipped the students with a deeper understanding of TB and boosted their confidence in sharing health information. This campaign highlights the role of future pharmacists as health advocates and educators committed to fostering a healthier society.

طلاب الصيدلة يقودون حملة توعية ضد السل بعنوان “معًا يمكننا إنهاء السل”

احتفالًا باليوم العالمي للسل أطلقت كلية الصيدلة يوم 29 أبريل حملة توعية بعنوان “معًا يمكننا إنهاء السل”. تهدف هذه المبادرة إلى تثقيف مجتمع الجامعة حول السل وطرق انتقاله واستراتيجيات الوقاية.
تحت إشراف لجنة خدمة المجتمع وقسم الميكروبيولوجيا قام طلاب الصيدلة بتصميم ملصقات معلوماتية والمشاركة في مناقشات مع زملائهم من الطلاب والموظفين.
للاستعداد للحدث نظمت الكلية جلسة بقيادة د. وفاء الطيب في 22 أبريل زودت الطلاب بفهم أعمق لمرض السل وزادت من ثقتهم في مشاركة المعلومات الصحية.
