Pediatric Dentistry Workshop: Mastering All-Ceramics Crowns for Young Patients

The Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine’s Internship Administration hosted an enriching workshop focused on all-ceramic crowns, specifically designed for pediatric dentistry. Held under the guidance of the Pediatric Dentistry Division, this workshop offered an invaluable learning experience for 20 dental interns, equipping them with the essential skills needed to address the dental needs of young patients. The event took place on Thursday, February 27th, 2025.

The workshop started with an insightful one-hour lecture, where interns were introduced to the core principles of pediatric dental care, with particular emphasis on the application of all-ceramic crowns. The session covered key topics such as the benefits and challenges of all-ceramic materials, the process of crown preparation, and the importance of selecting the right materials for young patients. Following the lecture, members of the Pediatric Dentistry Division led a live demonstration, illustrating the step-by-step techniques for properly fitting and cementing all-ceramic crowns.

The hands-on portion of the workshop included a two-hour clinical session, allowing each intern to independently practice their newly acquired skills. Interns had the opportunity to refine their techniques and gain practical experience in restoring pediatric teeth using all-ceramic crowns, under the supervision of experienced pediatric department members.

Feedback from the interns was overwhelmingly positive with a 100% satisfaction rate, with many expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and hone their clinical skills in pediatric restorative dentistry.

ورشة عمل طب أسنان الأطفال: إتقان التيجان الخزفية الكاملة للمرضى الصغار

في يوم الخميس 27 فبراير2025، نظمت إدارة تدريب اطباء الامتياز بكلية طب الفم والأسنان ورشة عمل غنية بالمعلومات تركّزت على التيجان الخزفية الكاملة، المصممة خصيصًا لطب أسنان الأطفال. تم تنظيم الورشة تحت إشراف شعبة طب أسنان الأطفال، وقدمت تجربة تعليمية لـ 20 من طبيبات واطباء الامتياز ، حيث تم تزويدهم بالمهارات الأساسية اللازمة لتلبية احتياجات الأسنان للمرضى الصغار.

بدأت الورشة بمحاضرة مفيدة استمرت لمدة ساعة، تم خلالها تعريف اطباء الامتياز بالمبادئ الأساسية في رعاية الأسنان للأطفال، مع التركيز بشكل خاص على تطبيق التيجان الخزفية الكاملة. تناولت الجلسة مواضيع رئيسية مثل فوائد وتحديات المواد الخزفية الكاملة، وعملية تحضير التيجان، وأهمية اختيار المواد المناسبة للمرضى الصغار. بعد المحاضرة، قام أعضاء من شعبة طب أسنان الأطفال بعرض عملى مباشر يوضحون من خلاله التقنيات خطوة بخطوة لتركيب وتثبيت التيجان الخزفية الكاملة بشكل صحيح.

تضمن الجزء العملي من الورشة جلسة اكلينيكية استمرت ساعتين، حيث أتيحت لكل طبيب امتياز فرصة لممارسة مهاراته المكتسبة حديثًا بشكل مستقل. كان لدى اطباء الامتياز فرصة لتحسين تقنياتهم واكتساب خبرة عملية في ترميم أسنان الأطفال باستخدام التيجان الخزفية الكاملة، تحت إشراف أعضاء شعبة طب أسنان الأطفال.

كان رد فعل المتدربين إيجابيًا للغاية بنسبة الرضا ١٠٠٪ ، حيث أعرب العديد منهم عن تقديرهم للفرصة التي أتيحت لهم لتعميق معرفتهم وصقل مهاراتهم الاكلينكية في مجال طب أسنان الأطفال الترميمي.
