Pharmacy Students Explore Humanitarian Law on Red Crescent Field Trip

On May 24, 2024, the Drug Information & Medical Awareness Services (DIMAS) student club in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy organized a field trip to the Egyptian Red Crescent, Egypt’s largest provider of emergency medical, humanitarian, and relief services. Thirty-eight Pharmacy students from the third to fifth years went on the trip.

During the trip, Dr. Salma Bahjat, International Humanitarian Law Trainer, Egyptian Red Crescent, delivered a lecture on the principles of International Humanitarian Law (IHL), explaining its meaning, core concepts, and purpose. Students also took a tour of the central operations room for humanitarian relief, gaining insight into the Red Crescent’s operations.

رحلة ميدانية إلى مقر الهلال الأحمر

يوم الجمعة الموافق 24 مايو 2024 نظم نادي طلاب خدمات المعلومات الدوائية والتوعية الطبية (DIMAS) بالتعاون مع كلية الصيدلة رحلة ميدانية إلى الهلال الأحمر المصري وهو أكبر مزيد وطني للخدمات الطبية والإنسانية والإغاثية الطارئة في مصر. وانضم إلى الرحلة 38 طالبًا من مختلف السنوات الأكاديمية، بدءًا من السنة الثالثة إلى السنة الخامسة.

وأثناء الزيارة ألقت الدكتورة سلمى بهجت مدرب القانون الدولي الإنساني بالهلال الأحمر المصري محاضرة علمية حول مبادئ القانون الإنساني كما ذهب الطلاب في جولة إلى غرفة العمليات المركزية للإغاثة الإنسانية.
