Three sessions of the Basic Life Support Scientific Program were conducted on 26/11/2023, 28/11/2023, and 21/1/ 2024. The sessions were attended by thirteen students and interns from the Faculties of Dentistry and Pharmacy.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is a foundational course for healthcare professionals in prehospital and in-facility settings.It aims to train participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations using bag-mask devices or advanced airways, provide early use of an AED, and relieve airway obstruction (choking) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
The Program Director is Dr. Sherihan Salvedia. Program instructors are Dr. Heba Rafaat, Doctorate Degree in Immunology and Microbiology and Dr. Nancy Attia, Master’s Degree in Pharmacology.
