A Visit to El- Nour and El- Amal Association for Visually Impaired Females For the clinic complex at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Misr International University

Under the supervision of the Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee, a group of 15 visually impaired females, accompanied by 12 of their caregivers from El-Nour and El-Amal Association visited MIU Dental Clinic Complex on the 3rd of January 2024.

A team of 24 female interns conducted examinations and provided treatment for both the visually impaired patients and their caregivers. The treatment was based on prior diagnoses made during a visit to the association on December 19, 2023. This initiative was carried out under the supervision of the Vice Dean of Community Service and Environmental Affairs, the Manager of the Dental Clinic Complex, faculty staff members, and teaching assistants from various scientific departments.

The female interns received guidance on how to treat blind patients. The female interns were specifically trained on how to cater to the needs of blind patients. Prior to initiating any treatment steps, they offered a comprehensive explanation of the treatment plan, ensuring it accommodated the unique conditions of the patients.

Upon completion of the visit, a satisfaction survey was distributed to the caregivers accompanying the visually impaired patients to assess their overall satisfaction with the entire experience. The satisfaction rate reached 100%.
