MIU Sponsors Green Teaching Conference in Collaboration with CDELT

Out of the Faculty of Al-Alsun and Mass Communication’s keen interest in promoting research in the Egyptian community and out of its belief in the importance of mutual cooperation with other academic institutions to produce high quality research that would be deemed an important contribution both nationally and internationally, the Department of Al- Alsun sponsored the CDELT’s 35th International Conference under the title “Green Teaching: Eco-centric English in the Digital Age” on the 10th and 11th of November 2018 at the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University.

In addition to sponsoring this prestigious conference, two faculty members gave two presentations in different disciplines at the conference.

Prof. Dr. Laila Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun & Mass Communication, gave a presentation under the title, “Are you a Green Teacher? Experiential Learning Activities for the Classroom” and Ms. Maha Ashraf, a TA at the Department of Al-Alsun, presented a research paper tilted, “Translation and Culture: Translation’s Role in Cultural Representation of Women in the Translation of Saadawi’s The Hidden Face of Eve”.

Al-Alsun students attended the conference sessions to get acquainted with new topics in the field of their study.
