6th Asia-Pacific Pharma Congress

Misr International University’s faculty of Pharmacy has participated for the first time in the “6th Asia-Pacific Pharma Congress” from 11th July to 13th July 2016 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The conference hosted a great number of participants from 18 different nationalities
The supporting journals of this conference were: The Journal of Pharmaceutical Care and Health Systems, the Journal of Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy, the Journal of Pharmaceutical Microbiology and the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Biopharmaceutics. 35 scientific sessions were organized by the conference where 20 speakers from different specialties, including university professors, consultants and seniors from prestigious pharmaceutical associations, presented their researches.
Misr International University was represented by a number of 22 senior students from the Faculty of Pharmacy. MIU students presented different research posters and an oral presentation entitled “Antimicrobial Stewardship and Implementation of Local Antibiotic Policy in Health Care Facilities”.
Two MIU teams won the Best Poster awards as the poster entitled: “The impact of Smart Devices Application on the Pharmaceutical Care Services” presented by Wafaa Tarek and Asmaa Ahmed, under the supervision of Dr. Nada Hazem won the First Place Prize; whereas, the poster entitled: “Development and Validation of a Rapid Derivative Spectrophotomenic Method for Simultaneous Determination of Paracetamol” presented by Nada Emad, Rania Abd El Rahman, and Dina Khamis, under the supervision of Dr. Inas Aly won the Fourth Place Prize .
